The Colchester Railway Group is run by David Reeve, and meet every other month in Colchester Town Centre.

Latest Update

The Colchester Railway Group aka EARM Colchester Branch recently attended the Colchester Model Railway Exhibition on Sunday 1st November. This is now a one day exhibition at Marks Tey Village Hall, and now a much smaller affair than the previous two day exhibition held at the Colchester Institute.
 
Nonetheless there was a good variety of layouts and traders. We took approximately £180 in sales and gave out information about the concurrent Thomas Day plus Santa Steamings.
Chris Johnson was our chief "anchor man" assisted by Jean Richards and David Reeve in particular. We thank the Cornells , father and son, for providing and transporting the stock,
and all others who assisted in any way.
 
There seemed to be a good number of visitors, despite the appalling weather on the day.
 
It looks as if this may be the venue for some time as I understand it could be a while before the previous facilities could be available at Colchester Institute
