


If being an engine driver has been one of your dreams, here's your chance.
Our popular full day Steam Railway Experience Courses return for 2008, the participant will get the chance to take control of a full size steam train, and control it whilst operating on our fully signaled demonstration line.
But that's not all!
You'll learn all about the operation of a steam train and general railway working, supported all day by our friendly fully qualified instructors.
Courses run throughout our summer season, and we take a maximum of six people per course to ensure that all members of the group get a fair amount of time taking on the various roles.
The Day Includes:
The course is suitable for anyone of average fitness, male or female, aged 18 to 70, and don't worry, there are no tests to pass to complete the course.
The Cost of the Course is £195 (Gift Vouchers Available) and operates from 9am until approx 5pm. There will be a maximum of six people on each course.
Friends and Family are welcome to attend, the cost for each additional Adult is £8 or £4 for Children (Under 16), this includes the days admission to the Museum, Lunch and Refreshments.

Refund Policy
Please note that cancellation will be subject to an administration fee. If you are unable to attend on your booked date but would like to join us on a different date, this can be arranged at a cost of £25. Should you need to cancel completely more than 4 weeks prior to the course date the administration charge will be 25% of the course fee. If you need to cancel less than 4 weeks prior to the course date we regret that we are unable to refund any of the course fee.
