MAY BANK HOLIDAY FESTIVAL

Join us over the May bank holiday for a weekend of family fun…!

As well as steam train rides all day long, we’ll be running ‘Taster for a Tenner’  where you can have a go at driving a diesel loco for just £10 or take a punt on the Pump Trolley (pictured below).  There’ll be face painting, bungee trampolines and lots of stalls on both days.

On Sunday 5th, the popular local children’s entertainerSteff & Nonsensewill be performing and we’ll have some great live music from local rock’n’roll band, Double Trouble.

On Monday 6th, we’re transforming our enormous Goods Shed into a Go-Karting track and there’s Juggling and Circus Workshops, traditional rides and the fabulous New River Dixielanders playing live.

We’ve got lots of space here at the museum so why not bring a picnic to eat on the field or treat yourselves to lunch or a cream tea at the Chappel Station Cafe and spend some quality time with the family.  We’re proud to be a doggy-friendly museum so bring along your four-legged friend, on a lead, of course.

The Viaduct Tavern, our very own little pub, will be open serving a range of bottled beers, ciders, wine and soft drinks.
