We are pleased to be part of Drive-it day again this year on Sunday 28th April alongside such prestigious museums as The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and The British Motor Museum who are encouraging folks with classic cars to take it out for a spin today!
We are offering 2for1 entry to the museum to anyone arriving in their classic, vintage vehicle and a dedicated display/parking area taking pride of place in front of our museum so come along and enjoy the atmospheric, nostalgic surroundings of the East Anglian Railway Museum.
As well as vintage railway carriages, signal boxes and classic Victorian station architecture, you can take a peek ‘behind the scenes’ into the restoration shed to see grand old locomotives under restoration. Our delightful miniature pub, the Viaduct Tavern, will be open as well.
We have a lovely railway carriage cafe and plenty of room for the kids to play, including a new, train-themed play area. We will also be offering our famous Sunday Roast dinners (pre-booking advised) – click here for details.
